NEW ACTION-PACKED ANIMATED ADVENTURE SERIES, WILD WEST C.O.W. - BOYS OF

MOO MESA, SET TO PREMIERE SEPT. 12, 1992 ON THE ABC TELEVISION NETWORK
NEW YORK, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The new action-packed animated adventure series titled, Wild West C.O.W. - Boys of Moo Mesa premieres Saturday, Sept. 12, 1992 on the ABC Television Network at 9:00 a.m. EDT.
Joe Piscopo, Robby Benson, Tim Curry, Kay Lenz, Michael Greer, Sally Struthers and Michael Horse are some of Hollywood's notables who will star as voices for the herd of bovine characters.
Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa is a western/comedy animated adventure series that stars a group of biped cows as the heroes. Moo Mesa is a slightly warped plateau that was hit by a wayward comet and lifted high into the sky. The mesa is protected by Marshall Moo Montana and deputies Dakota Dude and Cowlorado Kid, who abide by the true-blue code of the west, which include:
-- "Never sleep with your spurs on"
-- "Always clean up after your horse"
-- "Always tip your horns to a lady"
-- "Watch your tail when crossing a field of cactus"
-- "Eat hay only from plates"
-- "Don't shoot 'til you see the spots of their flanks"
-- "Never, ever, chew your cud in public"
-- "To err is human, to forgive bovine"
These fearless law-cows battle the bad guys, a gang of bandits, rustlers and varmints who harass the good townfolk of Cow Town.
Joe Piscopo performs dual vocals for Sheriff Terrorbull and the Masked Bull; Kay Lenz will do the vocals for the "cow-girl" character, Cowlamity Kate. Michael Greer vocalizes for Mayor Bulloney, and Michael Horse voices for Jose Rey ("J.R." for short).
Robby Benson will do guest-star vocals for the fast-talking character, Five-Card Cud. Tim Curry and Sally Struthers vocalize Jacques La Beef and Bessie, respectively.
The new animated series promises to be a hit cartoon that will bring quality entertainment to millions of kids across America. A few of the episodes are titled, "Bang 'Em High," "Wetward Whoa," "Bulls of a Feather" and "The Big Cow-Wow."
The theme song "Up On The Mesa" was written by country music artist Billy Dean.
The series is produced by King World Productions, Inc. in association with Gunther-Wahl Productions, Inc. on behalf of Greengrass Productions, Inc., a subsidiary of Capital Cities/ABC, Inc. Licensing will be provided by Surge Entertainment, Inc.
