DINING OUT: A six-seat chef's table has finally been unveiled in the new Patina kitchen, a follow-up of the renovation of celebrity chef Joachim Splichal's flagship restaurant that took place two summers ago when the proposed dining-in-the-kitchen idea was first announced.

Patina's chef's table ``Menu from the Market'' dinner consists of a special eight-course meal created on a day-to-day basis by resident executive chef Walter Manzke. It's $600 for six diners excluding tax, tip and wine. With wine matched to each course by Patina's sommelier Chris Meeske, the price goes up to $1,200 for six but includes tax and tip as well.

A five-course lunch version for six, available on Friday only, is $450 excluding tax, tip or wines.

There is no reduction in price for parties of less than six persons. Diners are seated on an olive-toned plush banquette ban·quette
