Wood is First Woman to Receive Two Prestigious Awards in One Year

SatisFusion(TM) announced its CEO Fay Wood was named "Person of the Year" and received the Everett Pershing "Memorial Membership Award" during the National Professional Service Convention (NPSC) held in Las Vegas, July 31-Aug. 4.

Wood won the "Friend of Service" and President's Awards in 2000.

"Fay instituted the '2000 in 2000' membership drive last year, which was responsible for NESDA growing more than 100 percent over the past year," said Clyde Nabors, NESDA's executive director. "No one has done more for our group than Fay. She is a born leader who understands this industry, the players and what is needed to move forward."

She is well known for her creator role in the development of the "Buyers Assurance Program" from American Express, and continues to be recognized as a pioneer in the development of electronic systems for warranty claims, payment processing and online information systems. In addition to serving as SatisFusion's president & CEO, Wood was recently named to NESDA's newly formed Advisory Committee as a board member and currently serves as the chairperson for the California Department of Consumer Affairs Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair's Advisory Council (BEAR).
