"The main benefit, for direct marketers in the Boston area, is that we join our voices with a larger community," stated Craig Blake, NEDMA's president. "As federal legislation related to our industry continues to evolve, marketers across the U.S. need to speak with one voice. As a board, we feel it's important to be an active participant in federal and state lobbying."

In addition, NEDMA members directly benefit from the Affiliate Program in three ways:

* High caliber education - NEDMA now has access to the DMA's speaker database and educational content, allowing the group to bring in nationally recognized presenters for monthly meetings and conferences.

* 50% discount on DMA membership - NEDMA members can now get 50% off their first year of DMA membership and $100 off the registration fee for the DMA's annual conference.

* Echo Awards benefit - NEDMA member Awards for Creative Excellence winners automatically advance to Level 2 of the DMA Echo Awards judging with Level 1 fees waived.

"The NEDMA board seriously and thoroughly evaluated this opportunity," said Blake. "Our decision to participate was unanimous. Our goal is continue to bring value back to our members from this new partnership. We're very pleased that the DMA instituted its new Affiliate Program."
