NEC Launches Online Sale of Water-Cooled Desktop PC.Tokyo, Japan, Aug 19, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - NEC (NEC Corporation, Tokyo, www.nec.com, www.necus.com) An electronics conglomerate known in the U.S. for its monitors. See Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE). : 6701) launched the Valuestar G Type C, a water-cooled desktop PC, on August 18 exclusively at the company's shopping website NEC Direct (http://www.necdirect.jp/). In a compact and stylish body with the radiator embedded in the water-cooler unit, the Type C measures 121x414x419mm, achieving a 33% reduction in width compared to the predecessor water-cooled models. The new PC is powered by a dual-core Celeron D Processor 341 (2.93GHz) and is equipped with an Intel 945G Express chipset. The desktop also features 256MB of main memory and an 80GB hard drive, and runs Windows XP Home Edition ServicePack2. The Type C also has a wide range of customization options available, including NVIDIA's GeForce 6200 with TurboCache. The basic configuration model is priced from 102,165 yen ($925).
