1. Strengthening of system integration and software business

 Solutions Group Business Unit and NE Software Development Group Business Unit to form a Systems Integration and Software Development Group Business Unit. The new business unit covers 12 software-related consolidated subsidiaries, including NEC Soft NEC Soft, Ltd. (Japanese NECソフト株式会社 NEC Soft Kabushiki Gaisha) is a subsidiary of NEC Corp. It is headquartered in Koto-ku, Tokyo, Japan, and specialized in Information and Communication Technology systems building and , Ltd., NEC System Technologies, Ltd., and NEC Communication Systems, Ltd. With a total of 17,000 system engineers and software development technicians, the new unit will promote growth of system integration/services and software development businesses in the area of IT/networks, and embedded Inserted into. NEC will drive its research and development in line with the individual attributes of the three groups that form the new Central Research Laboratories. They are:

- Solution Platforms Research Group: research and development of service platforms, the foundation of solutions construction, and common platforms

- IT/NW System Platforms Research Group: research and development of IT/network system platforms, hardware packaging, and intellectual property core technologies that are the foundation of IT and network system platforms and semiconductor devices

- Materials and Process Research Group: research and development of new function/new concept devices and device process technologies
