NEC PowerMate 2000(R) Combines Stylish Ergonomic Design

with New Features for Increased Functionality and Performance

NEC Computers Inc., a leading provider of mobile, desktop and server computing solutions for the enterprise market, today introduced the latest version of its PowerMate(R) 2000 microdesktop PC, now available with Intel's(R) Pentium(R) III 933MHz processor and a DVD/CD-RW combo drive.

With its high-speed processor, new combo drive and built-in 15.0-inch XGA TFT flat panel digital display, the PowerMate 2000 provides corporate customers with all the performance advantages of a traditional desktop, but in a sleek, compact design occupying less space than a traditional desktop computer. Space-constrained environments, such as healthcare, financial institutions, kiosks and call centers can particularly benefit from the PowerMate 2000's small desktop footprint.

With DVD/CD-RW combo drive, the unit costs approximately $1,999 (U.S.) and $3,040 (Canada)(3).

NEC UltraCare(R) Service

NEC Computers' UltraCare(R) Service offers a standard, three-year limited warranty(4) on parts, labor and technical support.
