NEC was founded in Tokyo in 1899 as Nippon Electric Company, Ltd.
 and Tokyo-based company Medical Information Service have agreed to collaborate in the field of medical information systems.

The two companies will collaborate on the establishment of the MegaOak Series Common Resource Center, a new service center that provides maintenance support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services  for MegaOakIBARS, a medical information system offered by NEC.

Specifically, Medical Information Service will provide a call center service as well as support for system introduction. Going forward, the two companies will expand the scope of their services and cover all products in the MegaOak series.
