NDTVF.) Mr. Fred G. Hewett, President of NDT NDT Newfoundland Daylight Time Ventures Ltd. (VSE:NDE; NASD-OTC:NDTVF) is pleased to announce that the Company has received an update report from Donner Resources Inc. on exploration work carried out on NDT's Project 79, located approximately 90 km south of the Voisey's Bay deposits in Labrador, Canada. Project 79, one of the most strategic properties in the South Voisey's Bay Project area, is a joint venture with Donner Resources Inc. (25 percent), the operator, Latitude Resources Ltd. (25 percent) and NDT (50 percent). The South Voisey's Bay Project program is under the field management of Teck Corporation. Project 79 is located 2.5 km south of the Donner/Northern Abitibi drill hole 97-75, where a 1.1 metres intersection grading 11.75 percent Ni, 9.70 percent Cu and 0.43 percent Co has been reported. These results are considered to be very important and may be the beginning of a major nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide deposit discovery. The South Voisey's Bay Project area can be considered a very significant new play for the following reasons: - It occurs adjacent to the mantle tapping Nain-Churchill Province suture zone. As a mantle tapping fault, this structure has acted as a conduit for nickel-copper-cobalt deposits at Voisey's Bay, 90 km to the north. - The general geological setting at the South Voisey's Bay Project area is very similar to that at the Voisey's Bay deposits; olivine olivine (ŏlĭv`ēn), an iron-magnesium silicate mineral, (Mg,Fe)2SiO4, crystallizing in the orthorhombic system. gabbro-troctolite; leopard textured sulphides; basal breccia gabbro gabbro: see basalt. gabbro Any of several medium- or coarse-grained rocks that consist primarily of plagioclase feldspar and pyroxene. Gabbros are found widely on the Earth and on the Moon. gneiss gneiss (nīs), coarse-grained, imperfectly foliated, or layered, metamorphic rock. Gneiss is characterized by alternating light and dark bands differing in mineral composition and having coarser grains than those of schist. ; basement gneissic gneiss n. A banded or foliated metamorphic rock, usually of the same composition as granite. [German Gneis, probably alteration of Middle High German ganeist, rocks and sulphides occurring at the basal gabbro-gneiss contact. - Magmatic, net textured, massive sulphides enriched in Ni-Cu and Co as found at the Voisey's Bay deposits. Detailed gravity surveying over the Northern Abitibi claims and Project 79 has defined an important northerly trending; two to three mgal gravity high anomaly. This feature is approximately 6.5 km long and 1 to 2.5 km wide. NDT interprets this feature to be related to a thickening in the more dense olivine gabbro, the centre or edge of which may be a major feeder dike Dike, in Greek religion and mythology Dike: see Horae. dike, in technology dike, in technology: see levee. dike Bank, usually of earth, constructed to control or confine water. . This dike zone would be an ideal location for the deposition of sulphide deposits. The geology and gravity gradients indicate the basal gabbro-gneiss contact zone to dip to the east and southeast, beneath the majority of NDT's Project 79. A significant part of the mineralized min·er·al·ize v. min·er·al·ized, min·er·al·iz·ing, min·er·al·iz·es v.tr. 1. To convert to a mineral substance; petrify. 2. To transform a metal into a mineral by oxidation. 3. gabbro-gneiss contact occurs along the western side of Project 79 where anomalous Ni-Cu-Co values are ubiquitous. Over the past several months, Teck/Donner have drilled four holes (DDH DDH Decision Diffie-Hellman DDH Developmental Dysplasia of Hip DDH Dorothy Day House DDH Document Drafting Handbook DDH Dublin Dental Hospital DDH Destroyer-Carrying Helicopter DDH Dissociated Double Hypertropia 97-57, 59,63, and 73) near the eastern edge of the gravity high on Project 79. All four holes intersected significant sulphides with thicknesses up to 15 metres. These sulphides are enriched in base metals with values up to 0.59 percent Ni, 0.52 percent Cu and 0.10 percent Co. The holes have also shown a sharp increase in the depth to the gabbro-gneiss contact in this area on Project 79. This depth increase which in turn has increased the thickness of the gabbroic unit, could possibly be due to proximity of a depression or trough in the basement rocks which in turn could be a very favourable area for the accumulation of significant amounts of sulphides. Attempts have been made to geophysically probe all four holes, however all but DDH 97-63 were frozen in permafrost permafrost, permanently frozen soil, subsoil, or other deposit, characteristic of arctic and some subarctic regions; similar conditions are also found at very high altitudes in mountain ranges. . The probe in DDH 97-63 showed a strong off hole Electromagnetic response. This response, located near the basal gabbro-gneiss contact and within the strongest gravity anomaly in the project may indicate the presence of significant amounts of massive sulphides on Project 79. Teck/Donner is presently reviewing the data and further drilling in this area could be carried out prior to December. Teck/Donner have also drilled three holes (DDH 97-55, 58, and 60) in the northeast quadrant of Project 79 to test the basal mineralized gabbro in this area. A one mgal gravity anomaly and a series of Max Min electromagnetic anomalies also occur in this area. Disseminated sulphide mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. Mentioned in: Rickets mineralization, n the bioprecipitation of an inorganic substance. up to 16 metres in thickness has been intersected in all holes with base metal values up to 4660 ppm Ni, 2460 ppm Cu and 1330 ppm Co. The Company is highly encouraged with these very significant results and looks forward to further positive results from Project 79 within the South Voisey's Bay Project. -0- On Behalf of the Board, NDT VENTURES LTD.
