NComputing and Linspire Partner with Yellow Penguin to Provide Multi-User Computing Solutions to South African Customers; Cost-Effective Solution Targeted for South African Education, Government, SOHO and Small-Business Users.

SAN DIEGO -- NComputing Inc., a leading provider of multi-user computing platforms, and Linspire Inc., developer of the world's easiest desktop Linux operating system, today announced a partnership with South African solutions provider Yellow Penguin to provide cost-effective, multi-user computing solutions to the South African education, government, SOHO and small-business users.

NComputing's Xtenda X300 expansion kit allows up to six additional computer users to share one "host" PC for a maximum of seven total users (when using two kits per host PC). Each kit includes one PCI multi-user card, three small terminal boxes for keyboard, mouse and speaker connection and Free NComputing terminal server software for many open-source Linux OS.

Linspire's Linux operating system runs perfectly on the host PC and once one genuine copy is installed, multiple users can share the operating system without paying additional access license fees according to Linspire. And, because users can use a fast AMD Sempron(TM) or Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU as the host unit, all seven users receive the same level of performance at a greatly reduced hardware and software cost.

Yellow Penguin is currently partnering with Linspire to provide HP notebooks with Linspire's Linux operating system to the South African market. The addition of NComputing adds the needed hardware and networking link to the partnership. Yellow Penguin will be conducting pilot installations with NComputing's Xtenda X300 kits and Linspire's Linux operating system at a major South African municipality and provincial education department during the month of May.

This solution will also be showcased at the upcoming Futurex show May 16-19, 2006, at the Sandton Convention Centre in Gauteng, South Africa. Yellow Penguin is also working closely with HP to explore the possibility of upgrading the existing HP 441s to NComputing's Xtenda X300 kits utilizing Linspire's Linux operating system. End-user support for these systems will be available via a locally staffed support hot line.

Each Xtenda X300 kit includes one PCI card, three RJ45 output ports and three terminal boxes to connect via a CAT5 cable. And, there are no hassles configuring a router, switch or a hub. Just load the included software and they're plug-and-play. The only requirement is that all users must be within 25-45 feet of the host PC or notebook, perfect for small businesses, home offices, school rooms and government environments.
