Net loss for the three months ended March 31, 2006 was $14.0 million, compared to a restated net loss of $19.8 million for the same period a year ago, a decrease of 29.3%. Interest expense continues to constitute the majority of total costs and expenses. This expense was $9.2 million in the three months ended March 31, 2006 versus a restated $18.1 million in the same period in 2005, a decrease of $8.9 million or 49.2 %. The decrease in interest expense was primarily attributable to the decrease in the expensing of the original issue discount arising from the allocation of proceeds to the fair value of warrants and the beneficial conversion features of the related debt.
