NCR CREATES ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS DIVISION; WILLIAM J. PATCHETT APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT

 DAYTON, Ohio, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- NCR Corporation today announced the creation of the Enterprise Systems Division, chartered to respond to its customers' needs for seamless solutions throughout their enterprises. The new division will be headed by William J. Patchett, formerly vice president of NCR's Telecommunications Systems Division.
 "With this new division, NCR is increasing the opportunities for synergy across our product lines by focusing on the customers' enterprise-wide systems requirements from the concept to the delivery stage of our products," said Tom A. Mays, senior vice president, General Purpose Products Group.
 "Customer satisfaction is NCR's number-one priority," said William T. O'Shea, senior vice president of NCR's Network & Integrated Systems Group. "In addition to offering standardized modes of operation and increasing the potential for mobility and flexibility, NCR's approach to enterprise-wide systems will enable customers to share information throughout their enterprises while streamlining their businesses."
 Reinforcing NCR's commitment to providing solutions for its customers, the efforts of this division will be concentrated on the growing demands in the marketplace for & enterprise-wide systems.

 Before coming to NCR in 1991, Patchett was vice president of sales for AT&T's Computer Systems Division. In his new position, Patchett will be responsible for integrating product development and marketing functions, ensuring that current and future products will integrate easily into the customers' enterprises.
 The Enterprise Systems Division will be based at NCR's World Headquarters in Dayton.
