NCR AND WELLS FARGO ARMORED SERVICE FORM ALLIANCE TO OFFER COMPREHENSIVE ATM MAINTENANCE SERVICES

DAYTON, Ohio, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- NCR Corp. and Wells Fargo Armored Service Corp. today announced they have formed a strategic alliance to offer financial institutions a complete range of management and maintenance services for automated teller machine (ATM) networks.
The maintenance program, termed "Alliance Plus," was designed to provide complete ATM services through a single point of contact. Through the Alliance Plus program, customers will contract with a primary service company and this company will coordinate and resolve all issues relating to ATM maintenance.
Under terms of the agreement, NCR will provide installation, preventive maintenance and second line maintenance services. NCR is a leading ATM service vendor, with over 5,000 field engineers in the U.S. servicing NCR and other manufacturers' ATM equipment. Wells Fargo Armored, the leading first line maintenance and cash management provider in the industry, will provide cash replenishment and first line maintenance services for ATMs nationwide. Wells Fargo Armored operates 160 branches throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
"This strategic alliance gives our customers the best ATM service team in the industry and does so in a way transparent to the customer," said Mike Maus, vice president, NCR Systems Support Services. "With Alliance Plus, the customer calls one company for all maintenance services and we coordinate who completes the necessary service."
First line maintenance services, which will be handled by Wells Fargo Armored, include fixing paper, card and currency jams as well as paper replenishment. Second line maintenance services, which will be done by NCR service representatives, include all necessary hardware maintenance. Standard response times for both vendors is 90 minutes or less. In addition, customers have the option through Alliance Plus to tailor first line maintenance service and response times to met their specific requirements. For example, customers can pay one fee for "unlimited calls" service for first line maintenance. For all these services, the customer signs only one contract for maintenance and incurs no price uplifts.
"Our objective in creating this partnership was to develop a total solution service package that addressed the key criteria outlined by our customers," said Hugh E. Sawyer, president, Wells Fargo Armored. "By combining the services of NCR and Wells Fargo Armored, we have addressed areas such as response time, product availability and cost of service. Alliance Plus helps give our customers a worry-free ATM environment."
Wells Fargo Armored, headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., provides cash replenishment, ATM cash management and deposit processing, and first line maintenance services for ATMs nationwide.
NCR, AT&T's computer company and the world's leading supplier of ATMs, brings computing and communications solutions together to provide people access to information and to each other, anytime and anywhere.
