NCI BUILDING SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES SELECTION OF NEW PLANT LOCATION IN JACKSON, MISS.
HOUSTON, July 13, /PRNewswire/ -- NCI Building Systems, Inc. announced the selection of a new plant site located in Jackson, Miss. NCI has agreed to purchase an eight acre site and will begin construction of a new satellite plant consisting of a 60,000 square foot manufacturing facility and a 3,000 square foot office. The company expects to complete the land purchase in early August and begin construction immediately thereafter. It is expected that construction will be completed by the end of November, 1993. In making the announcement, Johnie Schulte, president and chief executive officer, stated, "This facility will be located near the new steel mill and coating mill being built in Jackson and will allow us to expand both our building and components businesses into a geographic region which accounts for a large segment of the industry's sales." NCI Building Systems designs, manufactures and markets metal building systems and components for non-residential uses.
