Network Computing Devices, Inc., ((NCD) (OTCBB:NCDI.OB)), a leading producer of thin client solutions, today announced the general availability of ThinPATH Management Portal, the latest dimension of its Thinfrastructure family of offerings, which was announced in July of this year. This innovative system supports PCs, ThinSTAR terminals, and a range of CE.NET products from NCD's alliance partner, Neoware.

Customers will benefit significantly from using a single tool to manage their entire network of thin clients and PCs. Access to the management console and distribution of code via the Internet provides enhanced ease of use and control.

NCD's new ThinPATH Management Portal complements the recently released NCD ThinPATH PC software, to provide a comprehensive solution that manages PCs as thin clients. Now systems administrators can group, control, configure, and personalize PCs to suit their unique environments.

NCD ThinPATH Management Portal supports additional centralized desktop management tasks. The software defines, creates, and manages groups of desktops or individual desktops with unique software installation, connection information and security settings for devices through an intuitive administration interface. Once defined, this information is transferred over the network to the targeted desktops using web services technologies based on XML. Companies can segment their desktops into the appropriate functional groups for their enterprises, and can tailor specific servers to allow or restrict desktop access.

A single server is capable of automating the management of hundreds of desktops simultaneously across a network.
