Jodie Legaspi hit two home runs and Krista Colburn ended the game with a two-run shot in the sixth, sending the top-ranked Bruins (44-7) to a winners-bracket matchup today with Long Beach State, a 1-0 winner over San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay.  State in the first game.

Anjelica Selden Anjelica "Jelly" Selden is an American athlete who was born in Vacaville, California and attended Vanden High School from 2001 to 2005. Long Beach State (31-20) scored its run in the sixth inning. Kourtnee Gervasi, whose mother died Tuesday with lung cancer lung cancer, cancer that originates in the tissues of the lungs. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States in both men and women. Like other cancers, lung cancer occurs after repeated insults to the genetic material of the cell. , got the game's first hit, went to second on a sacrifice bunt, then scored when shortstop Chrissie Markham threw the ball away after Tiffanie Wedell's grounder.

Pete Manarino, the 49ers' coach, on Wednesday told Gervasi that it was ``her decision'' whether she played in the regional.

``I wasn't sure what I was going to do this weekend,'' Gervasi said. ``I figured I should be out there, with my team. I actually made the decision when it was time to get on the bus. I knew that there was nothing else I could do but be out there.''

Michelle Turner set a school record with her 26th victory, recording her eighth shutout and 30th complete game.

She and Aztecs pitcher Christina Ross breezed through the first five innings, with infield errors providing the only base runners.
