NBG Radio Network Syndicates Shaken, Not Stirred.

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 5, 2000

NBG Radio Network, Inc. (NBG) (OTC BB: NSBD) announced today that it has signed a one year contract to syndicate Shaken, Not Stirred. Outpatient Radio's award winning comedy hour is written, produced, and hosted by Johnny Seattle and Scotty Crane. Formerly self-distributed, the show is currently airing on KQBZ-FM/Seattle, WCKG-FM/Chicago, and KOTK-AM/Portland, OR. The agreement is effective immediately.

"NBG's stronghold in the Urban markets is what attracted us to the Network," says Crane.

Shaken, Not Stirred is billed as 60 minutes of nastiness, irreverence, belly laughs, and social commentary. The program integrates a dynamic and bizarre mix of dialogues, skits, parodies, and obscure guests, and boasts what is perhaps radio's strangest musical format, which includes Lounge Music and Heavy Metal.

"Mel Torme and Ozzy Osbourne are synonymous in our minds," Crane points out.

Shaken, Not Stirred was awarded the 1999 Silver Microphone Award for "Best Entertainment Program," and two 1999 Crystal Communicator Awards for "Best Special Interest Talk Show" and "Humor Writing." The program was also featured on the BBC's "The Best of International Radio," broadcast in over 200 countries.

As one BBC producer put it, "Shaken, Not Stirred takes most aspects of modern life to pieces." Those aspects include racism, political correctness, and their favorite holy cow of all, consumerism.

As Crane and Seattle put it, "We're trying to fight the evils of consumerism. And make money doing it. That way, we can buy stuff."

Scotty Crane is a record producer and engineer whose father, Bob Crane, was the star of television's Hogan's Heroes as well as a top rated Los Angeles radio personality during the early 1960s. Johnny Seattle made his broadcast debut on "Sports Radio" KJR-AM. His affiliation with KJR spanned nearly 53 minutes--Seattle left KJR when they quit returning his calls. He has also found work as an editorial columnist, a screenwriter, and an actor.
