 NBD CONTRIBUTES $25,000 TO HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORT
 DETROIT, Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- On behalf of its four subsidiaries


with offices in Florida, NBD Bancorp (NYSE: NBD) has contributed $25,000 to the Greater Miami Chapter of the American Red Cross. The gift is to be used for the South Florida Relief Effort to aid victims of Hurricane Andrew.
 "We've made this contribution to help the people of Florida who were left homeless by the hurricane," said Robert G. Wing, president of NBD Bank, FSB, in Venice, Fla. "The agency will use the gift to support emergency shelters set up in South Florida and to provide victims with food, clothing and other basic needs."
 The four subsidiaries of the Detroit-based banking company are NBD Bank, FSB; NBD Trust Company of Florida, N.A.; NBD Securities, Inc., and NBD Mortgage Company.
