So when this member of the Fishing Hall of Fame tells you this is a guide to both the best freshwater and saltwater sites in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. , you listen. You listen, but perhaps you're not convinced. This is a spectacular guide to some of the most diverse, beautiful and exciting fishing areas in America, though it's hard for me to believe the California Delta - which I've fished - is the only spot in the western U.S. that makes the cut.
