 Map-Pack

BikeMapDude Productions, $13.95.

Dudes Dudes may refer to:
  • Plural of dude
  • The Dudes, a Canadian band
  • Th'Dudes, a New Zealand band
, this supposedly new packet of five trail maps for mountain bikers is totally bogus.

They only cover limited areas and are missing, like, important stuff. The map of Point Mugu State Park Point Mugu State Park is a large park located in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area in Southern California. It is in the Western Santa Monica Mountains. The park can be accessed from the north in the Satwiwa Native American Indian Culture Center and from the south  doesn't show the Sine Nombre (a mellow single track ride) or the totally sweet Two Foxes trail. The maps are plastic coated, so they won't get soggy in your jersey pocket. Or, better, you could use one to boot a tire if you have a gnarly (jargon) gnarly - /nar'lee/ Both obscure and hairy. "Yow! - the tuned assembler implementation of BitBlt is really gnarly!" From a similar but less specific usage in surfer slang.  blowout.

The maps do have trail ratings (easy to extreme), but there is better beta out there. Try Tom Harrison's series of trail maps and you'll be stylin'. Or save your money and log on to nrmbc.org and you can rip and print maps, descriptions and complete trail profiles for free.
