NATIONSBANK OF TEXAS ANNOUNCES QUARTERLY CASH DISTRIBUTION

 HOUSTON, Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- NationsBank of Texas, N.A., Trustee of the Burlington Resources Coal Seam Gas Royalty Trust (NYSE: BRU), announced today a quarterly cash distribution to the holders of units of beneficial interest of the Trust of $0.42702 per unit, payable Dec. 14, 1993, to unitholders of record on Dec. 2, 1993. This cash distribution amount is based on the Trust's share of net profits attributable to production for the third quarter 1993.
 Unitholders of record on Dec. 2, 1993 will also be entitled to tax credits under Section 29 of the Internal Revenue Code for the coal seam gas produced and sold during the third quarter 1993. Based on the 1992 tax credit rate, the Trustee estimates the amount of the tax credit for this period to be $0.3372 per unit.
 The Trust owns net profits interests in certain proved coal seam gas properties owned by Meridian Oil Production Inc. ("MOPI") located in the San Juan Basin of Northwestern New Mexico. The Trust is a Delaware grantor trust formed by Burlington Resources Inc., parent company of MOPI, and is designed to provide unitholders with quarterly cash distributions and tax credits under Section 29 of the Internal Revenue Code from certain coal seam gas properties.
 The units of beneficial interest of the Trust are listed and traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "BRU."
