 NATIONSBANK MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE ANNOUNCED
 CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The management structure


for the NationsBank Institutional Bank, Secured Lending Group and the Balance Sheet Management, Funds Management and Corporate Investments groups was announced today by James Thompson, Vice Chairman of NCNB Corp. and designated Chairman of NationsBank East.
 NationsBank is the company to be formed through the merger of NCNB Corporation (NYSE: NCB) and C&S/Sovran Corporation (NYSE: CVN), scheduled for completion on December 31, 1991.
 In addition to the announcements below, Carlsen Huey will join the management team with responsibility for Strategic Planning in the functional areas under Thompson. Institutional Bank
 Bill Vandiver will direct the Institutional Bank. The Institutional Bank is composed of Corporate Banking, Investment Banking and Global Trading and Distribution. Corporate Banking
 Ed Brown will be president of the Corporate Bank. He will report to Vandiver.
 Graham Denton will be responsible for the Eastern U.S. Corporate Group and will report to Brown. His management team is listed below:
 Dick Payne will head Northeast/Midwest, which will include the New York and Chicago offices, as well as the Northern and nationwide Forest Products areas.
 Cliff Culley will be responsible for Mid-Atlantic, which will include Virginia, Maryland and Metro D.C.
 Bill Covington will lead corporate banking efforts in the Carolinas, including Textiles.
 Tim Geraghty's Southern group will include Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi, as well as Southeastern Agribusiness and relationships with Coca Cola bottlers nationwide.
 Todd Lankford will be responsible for Florida corporate banking.
 Glenn Cornell will be responsible for Southeast Business Development.
 John Dienes will head the Western U.S. Corporate Group and will report to Brown. His management team is listed below:
 Pete Joost will be responsible for corporate customers in the Southwest.
 Tom Swiley will direct the nationwide communications team and the teams focusing on the Far West and Plains States, which includes the Los Angeles office.
 Jim Johnston will be responsible for Financial Institutions, including downstream correspondent banking, counterparty and bank holding company lines and mortgage warehouse financing.
 Sam Atkins will lead the Energy Group and will report to Brown. His management team will include:
 Malcolm Turner will be responsible for Dallas/Fort Worth and North Texas.
 Kent Wittman's responsibilities will cover the United States.
 Jim Mercurio will head Houston/Gulf Coast/International.
 Rick Bjorck will be responsible for engineering for the Energy Bank.
 Mark Paden will be responsible for International and will report to Brown. His management team is listed below.
 Roger Timm will head International Corporate Banking.
 Doug Buchanan will be responsible for Carolinas/Mid- Atlantic Trade Banking
 Erwin Carter will head Southern Trade Banking.
 Hector Retta will be responsible for Southwest Trade Banking.
 Jurgen Strasser will head International Correspondent Banking, with David Konfino responsible for Latin America.
 Marilyn Sczech will head International Operations.
 Connie Beck will head Depository Services for NationsBank, reporting to Brown. Her management team is listed below.
 Rhen Cain will be in charge of nationwide Cash Management. The following report into Cash Management:
 Mike Paulette, General Bank Sales;
 Ed Sykes, Corporate Bank Sales;
 Zackie Wisdom, Financial Institutions Cash Letter Sales;
 Shirley Gilmer, Day-to-Day Product Management.
 Other members of Beck's management team are listed below.
 Gary King will be responsible for Product Management, focusing on transition and strategic development issues.
 Paul Ferm will head Federal Government Banking.
 Pat Anderson will head Customer Service.
 Ed Spears will assume responsibility for Institutional Banking Industry Research.
 Paul Stotts will be responsible for Corporate Bank Marketing and Administration.
 Investment Banking
 Richard Gross will head all financial products and corporate finance functions, and report to Vandiver. The following will report to Gross:
 Tom Bunn will be responsible for Syndications and Loan Sales.
 Chet Walker will be responsible for Private Placement, Venture Capital and Project Finance.
 Eric Dunn will head Structured Finance.
 Jim Gallagher will head Capital Markets.
 Mike Malone will head Specialized Finance.
 Stewart Boswell will be responsible for Corporate Finance, with offices in the following cities:
 Atlanta, headed by Jeff Neikirk;
 Dallas, headed by Pam Hubby;
 Houston, headed by Dan Walton;
 Richmond, headed by Walter Jones;
 Charlotte, headed by Tarleton Long.
 Dick Robb will head all Merger and Acquisition and Investment Bank real estate activities and report to Vandiver. The Dallas office will be headed by Dave Vorhoff. Real Estate will be headed by Weston Andress.
 Richards Roddey will be responsible for banking, investment banking and brokerage activities in the United Kingdom and report to Vandiver.
 Global Trading and Distribution
 Raleigh Hortenstine will be responsible for Global Trading and Distribution, reporting to Vandiver. Hortenstine's management team will include the following people;
 Ham Scherer will be in charge of Distribution and Product Development, with Steve Huntley and Dick Tito serving as Regional Marketing Managers for that function.
 Mark Seals will head Securities Trading, with Ted Bowden responsible for Tax-Exempt Trading and Underwriting.
 Earl Ladd will serve as Regional Executive Southwest and Chairman, NationsBanc Capital Markets, Inc. (NCMI), the corporate subsidiary that will house the company's securities trading and distribution activities.
 Roger Hayes will serve as Regional Executive Southeast and President, NCMI. Scherer, Huntley, Tito, Seals and Bowden will serve as Managing Directors and board members of NCMI.
 Nick Wharton will be responsible for Global Foreign Exchange Trading.
 Bob Hollmeyer will continue to manage the transition process for Global Trading and Distribution.
 Secured Lending Group
 Willie Alexander will be in charge of the Secured Lending Group, which includes the Real Estate Company and the Specialized Lending Group. Alexander will report to Thompson, with the following areas reporting to him;
 Mike Buchanan will head Real Estate lending for NationsBank.
 Bart Smith will be responsible for Specialized Lending. Reporting to Smith will be:
 Larry Stephens, commercial Finance;
 Elmer Pierson, Commercial Leasing;
 John Geist, Corporate Leasing;
 Stewart Long, Factoring.
 Balance Sheet Management and Funds Management Group
 Bill Maxwell will head the Balance Sheet Management and Funds Management Group. Maxwell will report to Thompson.
 Al deMolina will head the Balance Sheet Management Division, reporting to Maxwell. His management team will include:
 Chris Kirk, Balance Sheet Analysis;
 John Kottmeyer, Risk and Information Analysis;
 Al Smith, Economics.
 Dick Downen will be in charge of Funds Management activities in Texas, Georgia and Florida, with responsibilities for funding, trading and liability sales in those states. Downen's management team is listed below.
 Bert Harper, Texas Funding/Trading;
 Fred Comer, Information Resources;
 Will Evans, Texas Liability Sales;
 Jeff Couch, Georgia/Florida Funding/Trading/Sales. Tony Lefevre will be responsible for Funds Management activities in Florida, reporting to Couch.
 Page Stephens will have Funds Management responsibility for funding and trading in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Tennessee. Stephens' management team will include:
 Alex Mason, Trading;
 Brenda Fulmer, South Carolina Funding and Trading;
 Judy Breault, Virginia, Maryland and Tennessee Funding and Trading.
 Bob Barker will have responsibility for the Southeast Eurodollar Book and Credit Administration.
 Ron Newth will have general administrative responsibilities, including compliance issues, reporting and profit planning.
 Marion Reiter will provide transition support to Stephens and Breault until her scheduled retirement next year.
 Corporate Investments Group
 Craig Wardlaw will have responsibility for the company's investment portfolio and related activities. Wardlaw will report to Thompson.
 Pamela Brannen will be responsible for Portfolio Administration. Reporting to Brannen during the first quarter of 1992 will be Vaughan Dodd, Portfolio Analytics and Specialized Collateral Lending.
 William Newton will head up Market Strategy and Tactical Decisions. Reporting to Newton will be:
 Joe Wingo, Offensive Manager;
 Vaughan Dodd, Defensive Manager (joining during second quarter)
 Steve Austen will be responsible for Customer Portfolio Accounting and Systems. Reporting to Austen will be John Baxter, who will be responsible for Portfolio Accounts and Systems.
