NATIONSBANK ANNOUNCES FLORIDA PROMOTIONS

 TAMPA, Fla., March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Adelaide A. (Alex) Sink has been named consumer bank executive for NationsBank Florida.
 Sink, an executive vice president, replaces David Watterworth, who has been named consumer credit policy executive for NationsBank Corporation (NYSE: NB). The announcement was made today by R. Eugene (Gene) Taylor, president of NationsBank Florida.
 Also, Taylor announced James C. Jackson has been named Tampa Bay consumer regional executive, and Joseph D. Hill Jr. has been named specialized consumer services executive for NationsBank Florida.
 "With great pride, I welcome Alex Sink onto the NationsBank Florida senior management team," said Taylor. "She has been a valued member of the NationsBank family for a number of years. Her contributions to the Florida team have been an integral part of the success of our company here.
 "James and Joe also have made significant contributions to the Florida team," Taylor continued. "James has been a key player in Florida since 1985, and I look forward to his new role with the consumer bank in Tampa Bay.
 "Joe has been with NationsBank in Palm Beach County for eight years, and has been instrumental in the growth and development of our company during that time."
 Sink, who will report to Taylor, will manage and direct consumer deposit and loan activities throughout the state. The consumer bank operates in the larger metropolitan markets in Florida and consists of 290 banking centers.
 Sink joined the bank in 1974 in the marketing division. She previously has held positions in cash management and national accounts and started the bank's New York Loan Production Office. She joined the Florida Banking Group in 1984 and has served as Miami senior banking executive as well as Tampa senior banking executive. Sink will continue to hold the position of senior banking executive for Tampa, and she will chair the 1993 Hillsborough County United Way campaign.
 The Mount Airy, N.C., native was Phi Beta Kappa at Wake Forest University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is married to William McBride, and they have two children.
 Jackson will manage and direct the consumer banking activities in 79 banking centers throughout Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. He will report to Sink.
 A Savannah, Ga., native, Jackson joined the bank in 1982 as a credit analyst. He also has held positions in the Corporate Trust Division and was Florida's director of the Corporate Trust Division.
 Jackson, a senior vice president, is a graduate of the University of Georgia, earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
 He and his wife, Nina, reside in Tampa.
 Hill, a senior vice president, continues to hold the title of Palm Beach County senior banking executive. His new duties include Business Banking, Professional and Executive Banking and Specialized Sales for NationsBank Florida. He will report to Taylor.
 A native of Kansas City, Mo., Hill is a graduate of Rockhurst College in Kansas City. He joined the bank in West Palm Beach in 1985 as a relationship manager. Prior to his promotion, he was commercial bank executive for Palm Beach County.
 Hill and his wife, Shelley, have one child.
 NationsBank is the fourth-largest bank in Florida with more than $23 billion in assets and more than 365 banking centers statewide.
