NATIONAL RIGHT TO WORK COMMITTEE PRESIDENT ISSUES STATEMENT
 REGARDING BECK EXECUTIVE ORDER
SPRINGFIELD, Va., April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Reed Larson, president of the National Right to Work Committee, issued the following regarding the Beck Executive Order:
We welcome the president's Executive Order requiring government contractors to inform employees of their right to stop the collection and use of their compulsory dues for politics and other non-bargaining activities. These rights were recognized in the Right to Work Foundation-won Supreme Court decision in Communications Workers v. Beck.
With union officials corrupting our political system by pouring vast amounts of currently unreported forced-dues money into lobbying drives and election campaigns, the president's action is a much-needed first step toward restoring workers' freedom.
The president's Executive Order is a good start, but much more needs to be done. Right to Work supporters respectfully call upon the president to take all the remaining steps needed to guarantee for employees the rights promised them by the Beck decision.
