NATIONAL CITY CORPORATION ANNOUNCES ELECTION OF GARY L. GALBREATH AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND TRUST LOCATION HEAD OF NATIONAL CITY BANK, COLUMBUS
CLEVELAND, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- National City Corporation (NYSE: NCC) today announced the ele executive vice president and trust location head at National City Bank, Columbus, Ohio, one of the corporation's largest member banks. Galbreath succeeds Alan J. Davidson, who was recently named chief fiduciary officer for National City Trust. In his new position, Galbreath will be responsible for the corporation's trust business in central Ohio, reporting to Richard E. Beeman, chairman of the National City Trust Business Board. Galbreath will serve as a senior member of the Trust Business Board. Most recently, Galbreath served as president of National City Trust Company in West Palm Beach, the Florida trust subsidiary of National City Corporation, where he directed and managed the company's investment management, personal trust, and estate administration services. Galbreath and his wife, Barbara, will be relocating to Columbus in September.

Galbreath started his trust banking career in 1965 with First National Bank in Alliance, Ohio. He joined National City Trust Company, Florida in 1982 as vice president and trust officer, and was appointed vice president and senior trust officer in 1985. Galbreath was elected senior vice president and a director of National City Trust Company in 1989, and has served as president since July 1992. A native of Alliance, Ohio, Galbreath received a B.A. from Mount Union College in 1965 and graduated from the National Graduate Tru School, Evanston, Ill., in 1970. In February 1992, Galbreath was awarded the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB). In Florida, Galbreath is a director of the Naples/Fort Myers Town Hall, and he is a member of the East Coast Estate Planning Council and the West Palm Beach Kiwanis Club.
