 CLEVELAND, July 3 /PRNewswire/ -- National City Bank announced today


lowered its base rate to 6.0 percent from the 6.5 percent rate which has been in effect since Dec. 23, 1991.
 National City Bank is the lead bank of National City Corporation (NYSE: NCC), a $29 billion diversified financial services company headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio.
