), today introduced five new remanufactured laser printer toner cartridge products, including its first laser fax and Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (business, printer) Magnetic Ink Character Recognition - (MICR) A character recognition system using special ink and characters which can be magnetised and read automatically.  (MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) The machine recognition of numeric data printed with magnetically charged ink. In recent months, Nashua Commercial Products Group has introduced a wide array of new remanufactured cartridge offerings, capitalizing on the growing demand for high-performance, cost-effective, laser printer toner cartridges that help preserve and protect the environment.

As part of our strategy, we will continue to broaden our presence in these new markets with additional product introductions."

Marking Nashua's entry into the laser fax toner cartridge market, the Nashua Premium EP-FX1 and Select EP-FX1 Laser Fax Toner Cartridges both use a new Nashua-manufactured, long-life OPC (1) (OpenGL Performance Characterization) A project group within GPC that manages OpenGL benchmarks. OPC endorses the Viewperf and GLperf benchmarks. Viewperf was created by IBM and OPC provides viewsets for it, which are combinations of tests using specific  drum for dark, bold text and graphics.  9500 fax machine families, the Premium EP-FX1 and Select EP-FX1 cartridges have a suggested list price of $71.95 and $63.95, respectively, with rebates of $12.00 and $10.00, respectively, upon return of the used cartridge. Dealer pricing and quantity discounts also are available.

The Nashua Premium EP-S MICR is Nashua's first MICR cartridge. MICR cartridges allow laser printers to output scanner-readable checks at a fraction of the cost of commercially printed checks while also enhancing security. Broadening Nashua's family of "recycled" laser toner offerings, the Nashua Premium EP-E and Select EP-E Remanufactured Laser Toner Cartridges are both compatible with printers using the Canon LP-EX engine, including the Apple Personal LaserWriter Pro 600 and 630, Hewlett-Packard Laser Jet 4, 4+, 4M and 4M+, Canon LBP-860 and Digital Equipment DEClaser 5100. The Premium EP-E is available for a suggested list price of $102.95 with a $15.00 rebate upon the return of the used cartridge, while the Select EP-E has a suggested list price of $76.95 with a $12.00 rebate for returning the used cartridge. Dealer pricing and quantity discounts also are available.
