NASCAR Tests inthinc Lap Counter in Sprint Cup Series.
SALT LAKE CITY -- The Motorsports Division of inthinc[TM], a developer and manufacturer of technologies to improve driving safety, today announced its lap counter technology is now being tested in all cars of the NASCAR NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing), organization that sanctions American stock-car races, est. 1948. It held its first race in Daytona Beach, Fla. [R] Sprint Cup Series. The tiwi[TM] devices, which are positioned in race vehicle windshields, have already been in use this season in the Craftsman Truck Series and Nationwide Series races as a backup lap counter.
