NASA Awards Electrovaya Another Contract to Supply Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery System for Use in the International Space Station.

) today announced that it has received a new contract from NASA-JSC to provide a re-chargeable flight battery and charger system. This system will replace the non-rechargeable lithium thionyl chloride battery now used in the Internal Wireless Instrumentation System (IWIS) which monitors the structural and thermal dynamics within the International Space Station (ISS) habitable habitable adj. referring to a residence that is safe and can be occupied in reasonable comfort.
