The robot's hand can grasp and manipulate objects that are not designed to be compatible with robots. Its two arms are designed to be equivalent to human strength, scale, reach and dexterity. Its head has two eyes and a neck with two degrees of freedom, so it can nod up and down and shake left and right.

NASA doesn't expect to be able to duplicate human movement fully, but it does hope to come close to the dexterity of performance of an astronaut wearing a builty spacesuit in outer space, Culbert said.
