NAPL presents Technical Leadership Award.

The National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) presented its annual Technical Leadership Award to Carol Brown, president of Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) in Pewaukee, WI, during the association's 2005 Top Management Conference in Phoenix, AZ. The award recognizes Ms. Brown's visionary leadership and commitment to advancing the graphic communications industry.

In announcing the award, Joseph P. Truncale, CAE, NAPL president and CEO, said, "Carol has been a leader in supporting the technical advancement of graphic communications throughout her distinguished career. Her stewardship of WCTC and her active involvement in business and educational organizations represent all the NAPL Technical Leadership Award stands for and we're very pleased to name her our 2005 honoree."

WCTC is home to the Harry V. Quadracci Printing and Graphics Center, which offers degrees in printing and publishing, as well as technical diplomas and certificates in printing and print-related areas of study. Ms. Brown spearheaded an effort that will lead to the creation of the center's new state-of-the-art Applied Printing Technology Center. The facility will support applied research, technical training and industry seminars and conferences to meet new industry demands driven by technology advancements. Ms. Brown has served as WCTC president since July 2002.
