The Khoikhoin language of the Nama. has named the organization's national leadership award recipients. Awards were presented at the Best of NAMA awards ceremony, April 17 in Nashville. Below is a listing of each award and the honoree. R.C. Ferguson Award Kathy Cornett For the place in England, see . The cornett, cornetto or zink is an early wind instrument, dating from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods. It was used in what are now called alta capellas or wind ensembles. This award honors distinguished service to NAMA over the course of many years. Kathy Cornett chairman of McCormick Company receives this award for her continuing leadership and support of NAMA and the Agri-Business Educational Foundation following her service as national president in 1989-1990. She has served on numerous task forces; actively participates in the Past-President's Advisory Committee; regularly attends Board of Director meetings as an observer, and; serves on the ABEF ABEF Australian Business Excellence Framework (horticulture; Australia) Operating Committee. The President's Award is given to the individual/organization that best responds to the national president's agenda, going beyond the norm in contributions of time, talent and resources. Forum, an industry-wide event that featured an outstanding lineup of speakers; expanded participation by allied organizations; incorporation of an Executive Management Roundtable, and strong involvement of the media. Unfortunately, the Agribusiness Forum was cancelled due to the events of September 11th. Dilworth Award for Innovation Dave Eaheart The Dilworth Award for Innovation is presented to the persons/ organizations that represent innovative thinking. This year's recipient, David Eaheart, director of marketing for Seaboard Farms, is honored with the award for his innovative leadership with the Best of NAMA Committee in evaluating existing categories, strengthening public relations/Golden ARC categories, and creating new companion animal and turf & ornamental categories which resulted in over 60 entries for this year's contest. This year the award is given to two individuals, Jeff Tennant and John Sowell.
