NAHB Invites Two Partners From Quincy Johnson, Jones, Myott, Williams Architects to Speak at IBS.

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has invited two Partners from Quincy Johnson, Jones, Myott, Williams Architects to speak. Quincy R. Johnson, III, AIA, MIRM and James R. Williams, AIA will speak twice and once respectively at The International Builders' Show (IBS) January 13-16, 2005 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

On Friday, January 14th - Jim will speak on "So You Want To Be A Multifamily Developer: Breaking Ground" from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Room W314 of the Orange County Convention Center. His fellow panelists will include moderator/speaker John Thode with Horizon Construction Group, Inc., speaker Kevin Gould with CW Capital LLC and speaker Earl Armiger with Orchard Development Corporation. This interactive session will provide an overview of multifamily development. Jim, John, Kevin and Earl will detail how to get started in this sector of the industry and are considered some of the best minds in the business.

Jim has been practicing architecture for 30 years, first in Illinois, then in the Caribbean and then in Florida. He has an extensive background in the commercial, hospitality and residential fields. Some of Jim's accomplishments include the design and management of island resort properties, corporate/Class A/government office buildings, luxury condominium developments, corporate headquarters, educational facilities and senior assisted living/extended care communities.

On Saturday, January 15th - Quincy will moderate and speak on "Design For High Density/Small Lots Yielding 8-18 Detached Units Per Acre" from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in W307 of the Orange County Convention Center. His fellow panelists will include speaker Rick New with DTJ Design, speaker Mark Jones with LRK/Looney Ricks Kiss and speaker David Clinger of David A. Clinger & Assoc. Ltd. During this seminar, attendees will see what worked in the past and learn what to do in the future. They'll also learn how to maximize high density while maintaining a detached lifestyle through land plans and floor plans that work. In addition, they'll discover awesome new trends and ideas for the future.

Later that same day - Quincy will speak on "Designing The Under 2,500 Sq. Ft. Detached Home" on Saturday, January 15th from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room W320 (Auditorium) of the Orange County Convention Center. His fellow panelists will include moderator/speaker Bill Kreager with MITHUN and speaker Rebecca Stahr with LifeSpring Environs, Inc. During this seminar, attendees will learn how to maximize space with sound design tactics - both exterior and interior - to create exceptional product. They'll also learn how to design for median income homebuyers, as well as move-down buyers, while focusing on delivering what the customer wants, whether for a first-time buyer, single professional or retiree.
