NAFB hosts successful annual convention.
The National Association of Farm Broadcasters hosted a successful annual convention in Kansas City, Mo., with all available space for Trade Talk selling out to 97 exhibitors. "Trade Talk continues to be a viable resource for farm broadcasters in their news gathering," said Ken Root, executive director of NAFB NAFB - National Association of Farm Broadcasters NAFB - Nellis Air Force Base (Nevada) NAFB - Norton Air Force Base (California). "They can get the latest information for their audience from a vast amount of resources in one location. It is like a supermarket for current industry information." NAFB awards were also presented during the convention, with Orion Samuelson selected as Farm Broadcaster of the Year, and John Baker and Keith Kirkpatrick inducted into the Hall of Fame. Hugh Whaley, vice president and director of contact relations for Osborn & Barr Communications, received the Meritorious Service Award.
