NAB 2012 - ABonAir Launches a New Wireless HD Receiver with a Touchscreen LCD Panel - the AB350HD[TM] Wireless Video Diversity Receiver.

Las Vegas, NV, April 17, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The AB350HD[TM] is a flexible wireless video diversity receiver enabling camera teams to send HD video content wirelessly from the field to an OB van, broadcast tower, etc. It can receive video and audio from any of the AB3xxHD transmitters such as the AB312HD or the AB320HD and can configure them automatically or manually, according to operator settings applied on the touch screen LCD panel. Typical uses of the AB350HD[TM] receiver are broadcasting Electronic News Gathering (ENG), sport events, real-time reality show monitoring, etc.

The AB350HD[TM] receiver supports HD and SD in all resolutions and frame rates, with a low delay mode of only 90msec, Camera Control Unit (CCU), Intercom, Tally/Cue Light, and more. The system allows video transmission of up to 1000 meter. All these features are delivered in a 2U case suitable for 19” rack mounting. The receiver has HD-SDI output to connect to professional monitors or feeds directly to a satellite link. Audio outputs are line-level or embedded in the HD-SDI signal, and a 6-LED display indicates the received signal strength.

The AB350HD[TM] supports manual configuration of all system parameters, such as RF output power, encoding rate, transmit frequency, and others over a simple-to-use touch screen. The unit also supports an intercom channel for director communications when combined with the AB32xHD family.

The AB350HD[TM] utilizes the latest H.264 CODEC for video compression and OFDM radio along with specially developed RF algorithms to achieve professional-grade quality, mobility, and flexibility of use. ABonAir's unique algorithms embedded in the AB350HD[TM] deliver unmatched picture quality and stability. ABonAir's video streaming technology with its continuous bit-rate adaptation, re-transmit, and other uniquely developed algorithms makes the AB350HD[TM] a great solution.

“We are proud to add this 19” HD receiver to our family of products. The ability to manually change configurations for optimal performance is important for live productions. In the AB350HD manual setting is done only once, on the receiver, allowing the cameraman to focus on his work, unlike other systems that require manual setting on both the transmitter and receiver,” says Eran Igler, ABonAir's CEO. “Our system is full duplex, which allows us to update software, control, and access the transmitter configurations from the receiver side, making the Transmitter lighter and simpler to operate,” added Mr. Igler.

The new AB350HD[TM] HD diversity receiver will be launched and demonstrated at the coming NAB 2012 show. Visit us at NAB, Booth C7119, and experience the AB350HD[TM].
