NAAPAC Raises Nearly $20,000 at AOD Event Bucs and Booty

NAAPAC threw its last fundraising event of the year at the 2006 Assembly of Delegates meeting in Sunny Isles, Fla. Incoming 2007 Chairman Dave Watkins hosted the event as his alter ego A doctrine used by the courts to ignore the corporate status of a group of stockholders, officers, and directors of a corporation in reference to their limited liability so that they may be held personally liable for their actions when they have acted fraudulently or unjustly or when  "Pirate Dave" and welcomed the attendees to his beachside beach·side

. The treasure, a 42-inch plasma fiat-screen TV, was generously sponsored by AZUMA Leasing under BJ Rosow's direction. Paul Dougan of University Furnishings in Dallas, Texas, had the lucky key to unlock the treasure chest. Several walked away with the booty--a bounty of pearl jewelry. In the end, NAAPAC raised just under $20,000, putting it over its goal for the year.

AOD Focuses on Leadership

in a celebration of accomplishment and recognition of leadership, NAA held its annual Assembly of Delegates ill November in Miami.

The event at the Trump International Sonesta Beach Resort gave members a chance to welcome NAA 2007 Chairman of the Board Dave Watkins, CAPS, as well as acknowledge NAA 2006 Chairman of the Board Joe Sharp, CAPS.

The culmination of the four-day event was the installation of Watkins, a Senior Vice President with Greystar Management Services, Tampa, Fla.; the 2007 NAA Executive Committee; the NAA Education Institute officers and all NAA officers.

The AOD also recognized its most recent Lyceum Lyceum, gymnasium near ancient Athens
Lyceum (līsē`əm), gymnasium near ancient Athens. There Aristotle taught; hence the extension of the term lyceum to Aristotle's school of philosophers, the Peripatetics.
 graduates, a group of seven members who participated in the year-long leadership education events held in conjunction with NAA meetings.

Members were updated on NAA progress and accomplishments with a national public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  campaign to help promote apartment living as a lifestyle choice.

NAA's annual Leadership Summit luncheon featured comments from Florida-based government affairs consultant Rhea E Law, who spoke about the importance of tracking and responding to local and state legislative issues.

NAA also hosted its second annual Legal Symposium, which provided educational opportunities for attendees on the nation's most critical legal issues affecting property management.
