(NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :MYL) announced today that it has received final approval to manufacture and market Terazosin Hydrochloride Capsules in 1mg, 2mg, 5mg, and 10mg strengths. Terazosin is the generic equivalent to Hytrin(R), an alpha-1-selective adrenoceptor blocking agent manufactured and marketed by Abbott Laboratories Inc. The product is indicated for the treatment of symptomatic Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia benign prostatic hyperplasia n. Abbr. BPH A nonmalignant enlargement of the prostate gland commonly occurring in men after the age of 50, and sometimes leading to compression of the urethra and obstruction of the flow of urine.
