My students catch the grammar errors of the publishing pros.

We have an "Oops (Object-Oriented Programming System) See object-oriented programming." bulletin board. I encourage kids to spot errors while reading magazines, newspapers, even textbooks, and then photocopy and post them on the board. The kids enjoy reading the articles as they are posted, and often ask each other "What's wrong with this one?" The conversations that ensue revel higher-level thinking and understanding of the principles they've learned.--Jane Rissler, Manchester, IA
