My son could die; DAD SLAMS SWINE FLU JAB DELAY: Six-year-old has immune system disease... but is told he must wait for vaccine.

The six-year-old was taken to his GP surgery in Waunfawr this week by dad Martin for the vital jab.

But he was told the earliest date he could have it is November 16.

Mr Williams told the Daily Post: "And that's the earliest date, it could be December. If he gets swine flu in the meantime Adv. 1. in the meantime - during the intervening time; "meanwhile I will not think about the problem"; "meantime he was attentive to his other interests"; "in the meantime the police were notified"

Despite his condition, Dylan is an active boy and his parents are not keen on keeping him indoors and away from other children.

"That would be very difficult anyway. Dylan is the oldest of four children and they could bring an illness into the house.

"We just felt we have been let down by the Assembly. There should be a system where vulnerable people can have the jab when they need it and not have to wait."

A Welsh Assembly Government The Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) (Welsh: Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru, LlCC) was firstly an executive body of the National Assembly for Wales, consisting of the First Minister and his Cabinet from 1999 to 2007.  spokeswoman said: Vaccines are being delivered as quickly and fairly as possible. As expected and which has been made clear, it will take a number of weeks for all GP practices to receive vaccines due to limited initial supplies from manufacturer.

Health Boards are prioritising deliveries on the basis of local circumstances such as the level at which swine flu is circulating. Manufacturers expect to increase supplies over coming weeks. In the meantime GP practices are identifying patients in priority groups and will be inviting them to receive their vaccine once it arrives.

David Hayes, from Llysfaen near Colwyn Bay, died on holiday in Spain from the disease.
