My scene.

At the ripe old age of 43, I have been incensed enough to send in my first letter. From blagging blag·ging

, London to see if they had the latest, it has taken 25 years of Mail Drop to make me do it. First, let me congratulate the mag on 25 years, from saving me from Action Now to keeping the fire burning within when life has done its best to batter me down. Trasher has always been there. From a 45-mph full-body slide down a hill in nothing but just shorts and Vans in search of a full-pipe, to a good stack in a pool just the other week, nothing but nothing has ever stopped me from skating and nothing ever will. Skating has given me my best times, like early clay wheel wobbling wobbling Vox populi Ataxia, see there  to longboard A longboard generally designates a longer board variant in various .

gives me a stress release valve and a different outlook on life and the terrain that is around us. My wife still hits me when I give the instinctive "Shit, look at that hill," or "Quick, that's a good bank" comment while we are supposed to be doing whatever in as responsible a way as possible. However, the tirade of fruitbooter crap has pushed me over the edge. The first instinctive reply was something along the lines of, "Why are you reading Thrasher thrasher: see mimic thrush.

thought that if they all stopped and converted to skating, we'd have to put up with them on all our local terrain, not just at the local park. Then came the realization that inlining serves the ultimate purpose: it keeps all the wankers away from skaters. It keeps them from the local ditch. It keeps them from the local hill bomb. So I will say to all those who wrote in indignation in·dig·na·tion
n.
Anger aroused by something unjust, mean, or unworthy. See Synonyms at anger.

[Middle English indignacioun, from Old French indignation, from Latin
: It is true, we are not worthy, keep blading and ignore us mere mortals who are so far below you to actually only use four wheels and not have them attached to us. May you keep blading for ever ... and keep the fuck away from us. On a side note, I have been showing a bunch of my daughter's friends some of my old mags (all of whom are skaters that were inspired to explore by seeing Lords of Dogtown). They have come to realize their roots, and a few are now throwing down some surf-styled lines as well as trying to do the latest variation of tech tricks. Life is good and skating can only get stronger.
