Kate may never live to be 13: she may die of embarrassment first. Her mum is so weird So Weird is a television series shot in Vancouver, British Columbia that aired on the Disney Channel as a midseason replacement from January 18th, 1999 to September 28th, 2001. ! She's a part-time vicar with short spiky hair and sticky-out ears who rides a bike in shocking pink tights and has a pear-shaped derriere. Dad is a hairdresser and maintains calm in the family. Mum takes grandma out of the nursing home for a disastrous field trip. It is during this doomed trip that Kate notices Chas Peterson, a boy from school on whom she dotes. He finds Kate's mum wonderfully funny, even after she lets her car roll into a river. Since mum is a vicar, there's lots of praying and discussions about the Bible.

Harper says this book still makes her laugh. Cruttenden's full-voiced reading adds to the hilarity. She does a wacky grandma, a stuffy-nosed vicar, catty cat·ty 1
