The scholarship, established through the generosity of Brown's former students, family and friends, will be awarded to a junior or senior keyboard major who has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in his or her studies. In 23 years at Murray State, Brown has taught piano and organ, as well as a variety of theory and special topics courses. He also has assumed many departmental and university committee responsibilities during his time there.
