AREW was founded in 1978 by a small group of women real estate executives in order to create an association by and for women real estate professionals, who were very few at that time, in order to provide the opportunity to meet, learn from, and support other women in their professional and personal growth. In the following 25 years, AREW's mission has remained constant, while it has risen from a fledging organization to one of the real estate industry's most vital, active, and trend-setting associations.
AREW's commitment to community responsibility is expressed through the AREW Charitable Fund, which has provided longstanding support of Women in Need, Inc.
