The title The Long View refers to Mr. Johnson's unique perspective among observers of contemporary architecture. Since organizing MoMA's first architecture exhibition in 1932 -- Modern Architecture-International Exhibition -- and establishing MoMA's department of architecture later that year, Mr. Johnson has, been a champion of the 'new' and has witnessed more than 70 years of the architectural scene unfold unfold - inline . This exhibition represents his ongoing effort to bring new talent and architecture to the forefront of public awareness.

The exhibition series opens with SHoP's exhibition of a catalogue of new techniques of digital design, on view from October 5 through 14. Titled Do You Really Want Another Style?, the installation openly critiques and challenges the current practices and design of buildings in the digital age. The exhibition will include conceptual and analytical drawings and models.

The second exhibition, on view October 20 through 28, will present Arnhem Central, designed by UN Studio/VanBerkel & Bos. Begun in 1996 with completion projected for 2007, Arnhem Central in The Netherlands is an innovative complex that integrates transportation systems, shopping, and housing into a unified, multi-level urban development.

Michael Maltzan will present models and drawings for The Museum of Modem Art's new Long Island City facility. This project, on view November 2 through 11 will give visitors the opportunity to view the plans for the first time. The project includes the exterior of the building, the entrance, and a roofscape that will announce the building from the elevated subway line. Maltzan's dramatic design for the lobby, cafe, and bookstore responds to the raw and powerful space of the former industrial building and to the building's temporary role as the setting for MoMA's program of collection and international loan exhibitions from the spring of 2002 until the completion of MoMA's building project in late 2004 and early 2005.

The series will conclude with the Yokohama International Port Terminal designed by Foreign Office Architects (Farshid Moussavi Farshid Moussavi (Born 1965 in Shiraz, Iran) is an internationally recognized Iranian born architect.

Educated at Harvard, the University College London, Bartlett School of Architecture, and the University of Dundee, she worked with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop in
