Multimax Wins $78 Million in Air Force Orders; Major Work Awarded for Manas AB, Kyrgyzstan and Maxwell AFB, Gunter Annex, Alabama.

LARGO, Md. -- Multimax, Inc. announced today that it has won two high-value Air Force task orders, enabling it to expand its Information Technology (IT) services to Air Force organizations at Manas AB in Kyrgyzstan and at Maxwell AFB, Gunter Annex, Ala.

The orders were issued to Multimax under the Air Force Network-Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract. NETCENTS is a five-year, $9 billion acquisition initiative to provide Air Force, Department of Defense (DoD), and other federal agencies with the complete range of IT, Networking, Telephony, and Security services, solutions and products. NETCENTS is a "mandatory use" contract across the Air Force.

Multimax is a NETCENTS prime contractor.

The new task orders have a potential value of some $78 million over the initial performance periods and multiple option periods ending in 2010 and 2009, respectively.

Under the $32.8 million task order for Manas AB, Multimax and its NETCENTS team partners EMW, Inc. and ManTech International Corporation will manage and provide to base personnel all services normally provided by a communications squadron. The services include 24 x 7 communications operations and maintenance of voice switching equipment, the network control center, the base network, inside/outside plant equipment and cables, land mobile radio system, visual information services, communication security (COMSEC)/electronic key management, and material control functions.

Under the $42.9 million task order for Maxwell AFB, Gunter Annex, Multimax and its NETCENTS team partners Sumaria Systems, Inc. and RS Information Systems, Inc. (RSIS) will provide technical expertise for all facets of Electronic Systems Command's (ESC's) Operations Systems Support Wing (OSSW) independent test and evaluation and IT security services. The Multimax team will provide system analysis and related management support services to assist the OSSW Engineering and Integration Systems Squadron (EISS) in the review, analysis, test, evaluation, accreditation and certification of automated systems for worldwide release. Initial task order work will be performed at Gunter Annex; the task anticipates future additional work at Gunter and at Wright-Patterson and Randolph Air Force Bases.
