This rheometer manufacturer has introduced the Rheoscope 1, featuring a combination of an optical microscope, digital camera and universal rheometer. This combination is said to allow the RheoScope 1 to simultaneously measure rheological properties and display the shear induced change in a sample's structure. Said to be ideal for a wide range of applications, the RheoScope 1 offers intuitive operation, automated handling and precision performance for research and quality control environments, according to the company. The RheoScope 1 is said to eliminate the need for multiple instruments when evaluating rheological properties and analyzing the effect of shear flow on the structural change of a material. The entire instrument operates under the company's RheoWin software, allowing rheological data, video sequences and still images to be viewed and analyzed simultaneously, as well as stored for future evaluation. Both the optical microscope and digital camera are integrated beneath the temperature controlled lower plate and plate measuring geometry.
