A multiple-hopper drying system is said to be the first compressed-air unit that can simultaneously dry different materials at different temperatures. The self-contained drying system from Dri-Air Industries, East Windsor, Conn., allows for fast changeovers without downtime waiting for material to dry. Targeted users include R&D labs and custom molders with low throughput and frequent material changeovers. Each hopper has its own booster heater and temperature controller. The hopper bank has a temperature range of 70 F to 350 F without need for after-coolers. It saves space by eliminating the external desiccant unit.
