Zi Corporation is to participate in the MIT-CETI conference scheduled for Shanghai in July, 1997, which is meant to showcase the achievements of MIT students and the support of Corporate Sponsors affiliated with the program. MIT has advised that other Corporate Sponsors of the program include Sun Microsystems Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ: JAVA[3]) is an American vendor of computers, computer components, computer software, and information-technology services, founded on 24 February 1982.  and Northern Telecom, among others.

"Students involved in the MIT-CETI program will help the Chinese high schools develop their ability to use the World Wide Web and the Internet as an effective teaching tool and as a medium for international communication," said Deborah Ullrich, Administrative Director of MIT International Science and Technology Initiative (MISTI). MIT-CETI is one of the key programs supported by MISTI. Ms. Ullrich added, "Corporate Sponsors such as Zi Corporation have been invaluable to the MIT-CETI program."

Zi Mail uses Zi Input, a Chinese character input system that is simple to learn and easy to use.
