TORONTO -- Mr. Wang Kwang Yu, 36 years old, and arguably the richest man in China, received the "Outstanding Entrepreneur Award" at the 10th World Summit of Young Entrepreneurs (WSYE), March 15-17, 2006, Sao Paulo, Brazil. In making the presentation, Sujit Chowdhury, Secretary General, 10th WSYE, President and CEO, World Trade University Global Secretariat, said that "Mr. Wang is one of China's most remarkable examples of entrepreneurship and economic success who represents a new generation of prosperity builders, and in fact, reflects all that the WSYE is about. His drive and initiatives made him a global player in his field and is now the only pure retail component of the SMCI China Index."

More than 1200 young CEOs and Presidents (between 21 and 42 yrs of age) of companies from over 82 countries attended this international business forum, making it the largest World Summit of Young Entrepreneurs ever held.

$20 Million USD Joint Venture Deal

The focus of WSYE was "Let's Make a New Deal", which provided a forum for the young entrepreneurs to actually make new deals with partners from around the globe. Of the 450 Joint Venture Opportunities that took place, the largest "New Deal" that resulted from the Summit was a $20 Million USD 17 country partnership engaging 8 industry sectors.

"There is no question that the success of this forum created a global momentum," said Chowdhury, "with many countries now vying to host the next summit." At the closing ceremony Mr. Chowdhury read a letter of Invitation from H.M. King Abdullah II to hold the next Summit in Jordan in 2008. "We are very honored, that His Majesty sent a personal invitation to be read to all the delegates at our 10th World Summit in Sao Paulo. Egypt, South Africa, Bermuda, India and China are also interested in hosting future Summits."
