INSPIRATION STATION "Love is Something" was written two years ago when Mozella met her BF. "Before him, I wrote a lot of breakup songs. Now I write love songs." GO WEST, YOUNG LADY Mozella headed for Los Angeles fresh outta high school to try to land a record deal. "I just packed my bags and went. I can't believe I did it. Looking back, I'm like, 'Dang, girl, you got guts!'" ALMOST FAMOUS "Stevie Wonder was right next to me in a parking lot. I was like, 'Thats Stevie Wonder!' I was too shy to introduce myself." TASTY CAKE "When I moved to L.A., I needed a job. I went to a deli, and they were hiring cake decorators. I fibbed. They were like, 'What experience do you have?' and I was like, 'I'm really good!' Then they hired me. I had to learn a lot as I went." TAKES THE CAKE MoZella remembers getting a Bundt cake for Christmas when she was 12. "It was a great-aunt or somebody. She gave everybody 10 bucks, and I got a Bundt cake. I was chubby, too, so I was kind of like, 'What the hell is this supposed to mean? What kinda present is this? I'm 12. I don't need a Bundt cake. I want 10 bucks. THE NAME GAME "My real name is Maureen, but they called me Mo, Mozee and Mo-mo when I was little. One day, my dad was like, 'Come on, MoZella.' So it stuck."
